Bobby Vee (innate April 30, 1943) is an American pop music singer.

Born Robert Thomas Velline in Fargo, North Dakota, United States, his 1961 performance of the song "Take Good Care Of My Baby" went to No.1 on the Billboard U.S. stock & index charts and on the U.K. Charts. Known primarily as a performing artist of Brill Building pop-factory singles, Vee nevertheless became the bonthe fide star, & went in to record a string of international chart hits in the 1960s, including "Devil or Angel", "Run to Him", "Rubber Ball" & "The Night Has A Thousand Eyes". Bobby Vee likewise appeared inside many of the Scopitone series of early film-and-music recordings. Vee is however active & traveling when a performing artist as of spring 2005.

"The Day The Music Died"
Vee's career began amid tragedy. On "The Day the Music Died" (3 February 1959) -- the day Buddy Holly, Richie Valens, and J.P. "The Big Bopper" Richardson were killed in the crash of aircraft N3974N touching Clear Lake, Iowa -- fifteen-year-old Velline & the scratched-together band of Fargo, Northward Dakota schoolboys calling themselves Bobby Vee & a Shadows volunteered for & were given a unenviable job of filling inside for Holly & his band The Crickets in the lineup of the traveling "Winter Dance Party" rock and roll show in Moorhead, Minnesota in which Holly was to have performed. Their engagement there was the profits, launch the chain of cases that led to Vee's career as a popular singer. Bobby Vee regularly performs at a Winter Dance Person memorial concerts within Clear Flow of any stream to this day.

Bobby Vee occurs as recipient of the state of North Dakota's Roughrider Award.

Lore
In the early Sixties, musician Robert Zimmerman was asked to leave Vee's touring band due to the perceived deficiency of talent. Zimmerman would last in to have a career as a folksinger under a title Bob Dylan.
